The HaloEQ2 is our most popular unit and designed for portability and a great price point. With portable units, you can move from horse to horse, stall to stall quickly and easily. The HaloEQ is also portable and has the ability to supply an enclosed room up to 200 sq. feet. The HaloFX is an in-wall system and based of our tried and true human spa system. The FX unit can be removed and placed on a hand truck/trolley for mobile use, you will need to add a horse mask and hose with a special adapter. When installed in-wall, the HaloFX unit can be programmed to fill a room with dry aerosol salt up to 440 sq. feet (8-foot ceiling).

Programming: This machine is easy to use – just add salt in the clear tube up the level of the mill blade, turn the dial to the desired time (25 mins is typical), optional – adjust the salt level knob which directly controls how long and how often the mill blade spins.

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL DEVICES
TECHNOLOGY: We are a trusted manufacturer with over 1000 machines in use around the world. All machines are hand made in Europe or anti-corrosive materials. Beware of competitive machines made with metal.
SALT: Once you own a Halo system, you can purchase readily available, inexpensive pharmaceutical grade salt in your local area. A ten-pound bag lasts for approximately 150+ sessions x 25 minutes. This translates to about ten cents of salt cost per session.
OPERATING LIMITATIONS: Halotherapy does not work well in high humidity. Under 70% humidity recommended. We also recommend you prepare your salt for the day or week, or even better per session by warming the salt in a low heat “crockpot.” Here is a link to all the recommended products you need to be successful: click here
CLEANING: Cleaning the machine is simple, slide a few parts out, brush and dust any salt that has accumulated and you are good to go.
TRAINING and SUPPORT: While there is no official certification our staff will provide video, phone, and text training and support as needed. We want you to be succcessful and help our equine friends.
UL CERTIFICATION (Underwriters Laboratories): Our machines are the ONLY UL CERTIFIED in the business.
WARRANTY: We have a 5-year warranty on all main components, for normal use. If you are not in the US, we reserve the right to charge shipping for replacement parts.

The Pros and Cons of Portable Machines
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Easy to travel with you from barn to barn and stall to stall
- Halo EQ2 is very affordable
- Easy to provide treatments post-workout in-stall
- No need to load a horse into an enclosed stall or room
- Most horses take very well to the mask and enjoy the treatment
Cons
- One horse at a time
- Difficult to use on high humidity days

The Pros and Cons of Enclosed Room Equipment
Pros:
- Can treat on humid days
- Enclosed Room – the machine is located in a small adjacent air-conditioned room
- Trailer – typically turn the dressing room as the equipment room and air-condition/dehumidify
- Can treat two horse at one time – more revenue per hour
- Travel to barn and loading horses can take time
- If using a trailer can serve as an advertisement
- Enclosed rooms also can treat skin ailments (respiratory however is the primary need)
Cons:
- More expensive startup costs having to setup enclosed room or trailer
- If using trailer, fuel is more expensive than travelling by car
- Some horse doesn’t load well
Our staff has consulted and advised on building hundreds of salt rooms. We’d be happy to consult on building a successful set up of your own. These stalls and trailers can be designed to treat two or even three horses at a time with dividers.
